Month in progress: figures up to 6 November, 18:22 UTC, refreshed hourly.
How fast reports arrive
10 min
median time from a source publishing a report to WarStrikes collecting it. 79% arrive within 30 minutes, 51% within 10.
1,059 public reports, from the time each source published to the time WarStrikes collected it. Public pages show a new report once its clean title is ready, at most 10 minutes later. 1 reports whose source clock was ahead of ours are left out.
Before the news
38
Events first appeared on official or OSINT channels, a median of 2.6 h before any news outlet reported them.
Counted over the 181 Events that news outlets or wire services also reported; most WarStrikes reports come from news outlets themselves. Times are when each source published. An earlier report is where the Event first appeared, linked so you can check it. 359 Events had a report this month; 129 have more than one source.
How precisely Events are placed
6 in 10
Events in the conflict regions placed to a district, a city or an exact site.
238 Events first reported this month in Russia–Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, the Gulf, Yemen and the Red Sea, Syria and Sudan. Each Event states how precisely its place is known, from its reports, and is never placed more precisely than that.
Worldwide coverage
Since late October WarStrikes also follows the rest of the world: 108 Events outside the conflict regions this month, about 18 a day. Reports from elsewhere are often broader; 3.5 in 10 are placed to a district or better, and placing the 16 still without a country is one of our next goals.
